Our Story
Arman Fejzić – The Origin and Development of EMDC (Founder & Owner)
Arman Fejzić (born 1990) began working intensively with digital platforms at the age of 17 (2007). During this early phase, he built websites and music communities with more than 100,000 registered members. At the time, monetization was almost impossible, while the music industry was simultaneously experiencing a deep crisis: physical sales were rapidly declining, illegal downloads dominated the market, and many artists had virtually no sustainable sources of income.
His connection to music was not accidental. His father, Kenan Fejzić – Ćina, was one of the most well-known guitarists in the former Yugoslavia before the war, and later became a composer, arranger, and studio owner. With the introduction of YouTube monetization around 2009/2010, Arman Fejzić tried implementing the first digital revenue models in practice—initially also with the aim of making music economically sustainable again, even before streaming services became relevant in the Balkan region.
At the same time, he completed a secondary education in Business Management (without attending university) and worked temporarily in various fields, including the insurance sector and semiconductor production (microscope inspection). These jobs served as transitional phases while he was building his digital career.
2013–2015: The Beginning of EMDC and the First Structures
In 2013, Arman Fejzić founded the brand EMDC with the goal of enabling artists, labels, and rights holders from Southeast Europe to achieve structured digital monetization. From this initiative emerged digital distribution, an entertainment multichannel network, and later publishing structures. In the early years, the development was almost entirely a one-man operation.
Major partners did not come through aggressive acquisition but through recommendations. EMDC established itself through punctual payments, transparent processes, and fair revenue-sharing models—in an industry where many artists had previously experienced negative practices.
Since 2017: Breakthrough with Jala Brat and Buba Corelli
Since 2016, EMDC has been working with Jala Brat and Buba Corelli. The transition occurred after issues with their previous distributor, and Arman Fejzić also supported them legally during the process. Their personal connection (being from the same hometown) and professional collaboration led to a long-term partnership.
Jala Brat and Buba Corelli also released five joint songs with RAF Camora. In March 2022, the song “Criminal”reached number one on the Austrian charts—according to Radio Ö3, the first Bosnian song ever to reach number one in Austria.
The album “Roze suze” reached number two on the Austrian album charts in June 2025, with Arman Fejzić serving for the first time as Executive Producer on an album by the two artists.
2017–Present: Building a Team and Health Challenges
At the end of 2017, the illness ME/CFS forced Arman Fejzić to delegate part of the operational responsibilities and begin building a team. Since then, EMDC has operated through a combined structure of employees, external collaborators, freelancers, intermediaries, lawyers, and partner organizations, including those in Sarajevo and Belgrade.
Today, the core structure consists of around 30 people and organizational units. Despite health limitations, Arman Fejzić continues to make the key strategic decisions.
December 2018–2025: Partnership with Dino Merlin
A personal professional milestone followed with the collaboration with Dino Merlin. After approximately two years of building trust, the partnership officially began in December 2018. EMDC initially took over the YouTube partnership, later publishing responsibilities, and eventually the full digital distribution of Merlin’s album “Mi” (2025).
The album was released around eleven years after “Hotel Nacional” (2014) – the longest release gap in Merlin’s career, which began in 1985
2021: International Campaigns and Viral Projects
In September 2021, Arman Fejzić organized and financed a large-scale marketing campaign for Jala Brat’s first major solo album “Futura”, including billboards in Vienna, building façade advertising, city-bus branding in Sarajevo, and a prominent display at Times Square in New York (including EMDC branding).
At the end of 2021, the song “Helikopter” by Fazlija went viral (around 2.4 million TikTok creations). Within approximately ten days, Arman Fejzić produced a modern remake including a music video, where he acted as Executive Producer and personally participated in the helicopter filming scenes.
The new version was released on December 7, 2021, and reached around 30 million YouTube views. Fazlija later became a Cultural Ambassador of Upper Austria.
Building a Regional Monopoly in the Music and Entertainment Industry
At the same time, EMDC gained partnerships with leading representatives of folk music, including Halida Bešlić, Džej Ramadanovski, Sinan Sakić, Šaban Šaulić (now represented through his legal heirs), and Šerifa Konjević.
In Serbia, EMDC also established itself in the market through significant partnerships with some of the biggest stars, including Emina Jahović, Peđa Jovanović, Teodora Džehverović, Tanja Savić, Rada Manojlović, Šako Polumenta, Nikola Rokvić, Borko Radivojević, Peđa Medenica, Katarina Grujić, and many others.
In Croatia, partnerships exist with Grupa Magazin, Tonči Huljić, Jelena Rozga, the traditional label Tonika Records, and the leading Croatian rap artist Grše.
EMDC also represents some of the biggest contemporary stars in entertainment, folk, and commercial music, including Mirza Selimović, Dubioza Kolektiv, Adi Šoše, Sajfer, Inas, Kafansko vece ...
Within the entertainment segment, the network includes Nugato, Janko, Bake, ImperatorFX, Nedim Lepić, Lea Stanković, as well as the five-time boxing world champion Felix Sturm. Additionally, television broadcasters and media channels collaborate with EMDC like Face TV, Avaz TV, BHRT….
Technology, Publishing, and Google Partnership
Today, EMDC manages around 300,000 works in Publishing, including sub-publishers Connect Network and Take It Or Leave It. In the music segment, it is estimated that more than 500 partners collaborate with the company.
This is complemented by EMDC’s own distribution platform (app and web at emdcmusic.com), through which artists can independently distribute music to all major streaming platforms and monitor their analytics.
EMDC is a direct Google partner in all three CMS segments (Sound Recording / Audio-Visual, Entertainment, and Publishing) and a Tier-A partner in the audio-visual segment.
At the end of 2023, the company was invited to Google’s Christmas event in Berlin, where it was recognized for its strong growth and exponential development.
Global Collaborations and Projects
Through its close partnership with Jala Brat and Buba Corelli, EMDC has achieved collaborations with some of the biggest European and international stars. Collaborations with major German artists such as RAF Camora, Hava, and Dardan represented a significant step in connecting the Balkan music scene with the DACH region, achieving outstanding results and high numbers in that market.
Other notable collaborations with international stars include Rick Ross, Tory Lanez, Baby Gang, Gims, Kalash Criminel, MC Hariel, DJ Tomekk, Bounty & Cocoa, and Light.
Acquisition and Brokerage of Master Recording Rights
EMDC operates as an investor in the acquisition of master recording rights and also finances major projects in the role of Arman Fejzic as Executive Producer. The company also collaborates with a global network of investors specialized in the acquisition and sale of master rights, whose annual investment budgets reach several hundred million US dollars.
In this process, EMDC ensures the most favorable and competitive offers for its clients, while guaranteeing maximum legal security and full transparency in the execution of transactions.
Current Structure and Vision
The vision of Arman Fejzić is to position EMDC as a long-term market leader, while gradually stepping back from daily operational management and focusing increasingly on the role of Executive Producer. The company’s focus remains on building sustainable structures, continuous technological development, and providing a comprehensive all-in-one service for artists, entertainers, and rights holders.
Particular emphasis is placed on high service quality, transparency in business operations, and long-term trust with partners and clients, which over the years have become key foundations of EMDC’s business philosophy.
At the same time, EMDC’s strategic objective is further expansion across the European market, strengthening its presence in major music hubs while maintaining the existing service quality and professional standards for which the company is recognized.
